Potty Training: The reality

So we busy, moms have what's called day job's. I say this with sarcasm, readers. I have two children and both have been nightmares. My son finally just up and decided to go one day at age 4 1/2. After him, I said I will never struggle with the potty. So many mom's seem to do this with effortless ease while other's pull their hair out. The reality is that kids will go to the potty when they see fit. Some kids are easy to bribe. Like my soon to be 3 year old daughter. She loves candy, but that didn't mean she wasn't giving in that easy. I think the books are not much help. Don't waste your money ladies. Be mindful. Use the follow mindfulness skills: Keep in mind your doing this without judgement of self or child!

1. Watch your child show interest first and watch their usually times, YES they have one.

2. Take the pull-ups away, leave on at night.

3. Don't take pull-ups to daycare or sitter.

4. Please show great excitement when this rare potty moment happens. Even candy!

5. Chill out. I promise you it will happen, don't force it.

When have I turned the corner? When your mini me goes three times in same day without a prompt. Now mom's its up to you when to set the no more candy boundary. GOOD LUCK ! YOU GOT THIS!

If you have any problems with training your mini me, feel free to contact me.
